Should I push to get help?

Hi, I'm new this this forum so I hope I'm doing this right! lol
I am a 34 year old female.
I went to the doctors about 6 weeks ago with strange skin sensations,it feels like I have a patch of ice on my face and now I'm getting burning patches too. I have a creeping feeling on my back and feeling of water running down my leg.
The doctor sent me for a blood test. My B12 levels were at 124 so they asked me to have another blood test. This time the level was 160. As the normal level of B12 is 150 where I live in the UK, I am not being offered any treatment.  I would be very surprised if my diet was the cause of this as I eat a lot of dairy, meat and cereal so I'm thinking it could be caused by pernicious anemia. Would my levels rise slightly if I had this, like mine have done?
I'm not sure if these skin sensations are anything to do with B12 deficiency but I have read a lot of medical sites on the internet and I have quite a few symptoms of B12 deficiency.  I do feel very tired all the time and this is interfering with my life.  I have read that having B12 injections can stop a lot of the neurological problems I am having and that if I don't have them quickly, the damage to my body could be permanent.
I have asked my doctor if I can be tested for pernicious anemia and he has said I have to wait til the end of the month and have another blood test to check my B12 levels again. Should I wait this long? Would it cause much more damage to my body if it was a few more weeks til I had any treatment? What if my levels are still at 160? Would I be able to get treatment, as I personally, think this is low? Am I worrying over nothing or should I make sure something is done to help me?
Any opinions or advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
